Christianity is the only religion in the world that offers salvation purely by having faith in God’s grace instead of earning your own way to salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). The Bible is the only book to not have any moral flaws. AnsweringProblems was created to facilitate any questions people might have about the Bible or how to apply it to our lives. Most all Christians agree that only through Jesus can we meet Father God and live in heaven.

Although Islam claims to give us perfect peace in this life, Allah requires you to live in fear on earth if you are good enough to get to heaven. It’s illogical to say that the “way of peace” requires no peace. Jesus, however, wants us to have perfect peace on earth, despite how much we may sin (I John 2:28-29; Isaiah 26:3). More than through personal conviction, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit (II Corinthians 1:22).

Unlike other religions, hindus vary greatly in their beliefs. One commonality among them is the concept that ego is bad yet they also believe in order to obtain moksha, entrance into the realm of god, they must earn their way in through karma. Even by doing selfless deeds, karma is still attached to oneself, meaning that the person is better than one without karma; but, this enhances ego, not removing it. The focus is put on what can the self do, literally the definition of ego. Christianity, on the other hand, says no amount of good deeds can be enough for our perfect God (Ephesians 2:8-9; Isaiah 64:6).

Buddhists are encouraged to pray to Buddha, but they also believe he obtained Nirvana, a state without reincarnation. Logically, you shouldn’t pray to someone who can’t help you.

Mormonism and LDS

There are many contradictions in their holy book. In the Mormon’s Pearl of Great Price book. Abraham 2:22-25 contradicts Genesis 20:2-3,11,13. There is a historical error in that although it’s the same story, God says something different. It’s also a moral error because in the Pearl God tells someone to lie, even though they also believe in the Bible where it says it’s impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18).
